From the bulletin announcements below, St. Joe's is well aware this has no neighborhood support yet they continue to bulldoze this along and cheerlead their parishioners.

Note:  we have several active church members NOT supporting this.

Parishioner quote "It's hard to imagine after all these years of supporting St. Joseph's Church as a Parishioner and neighbor, they would allow this to happen in this community....shameful.   I guess, even the Lord's finest can succumb to the temptation of the almighty dollar.

  1. SPOILER ALERT!  Has St. Joseph's yet told the elderly parishioners who want to live in this facility that they have to pay $5,000 to 6,000 a MONTH or $60,000-$72,000 annually to live there?... and not covered by Medicaid, Medicare or other insurances.

Charitable Mission Drift?   What happens in this for-profit venture when 87-year-old Grandmother and others run through their life savings?  Will the Church fundraise for Grandma's continued care?  Remember the Church is ONLY leasing the land, not managing the facility and yet they say they are fulfilling their "ministry to help those in need."  The verbiage in the bulletin is  misleading given this is a for-profit venture and the Church, as they state below "will not be owners or managers."
